For so many years we have been using traditional cookware, such as saucepan, fry pan, and other type of cooking materials. All this cooking materials is being used in an electric and gas ranges. This has been our way of cooking our dishes ever since but because technology has a greater influence in almost all things that we use every day a cooking tool was developed. This new cooking tool is called the induction cookware.
This innovation of cookware works by transferring the magnetic energy instead of electric or flame that creates an efficient and easy process of cooking your dishes. Induction cooktop does really make things easier to process especially when you are cooking dishes in a hurry. However, there are only particular materials that can be use in an induction cooktop. It will only work if your cookware that has a flat bottom and it should be made of pure stainless steel or a magnetic material. If your cooking materials are made of copper, aluminum or glass, such as Pyrex, it will not work. To test if your cookware will work on the induction cooktop use a magnet on the material. Once the magnet sticks on it, it can be used on the induction cooktop.
Similar to other materials induction cookware also have its advantages and disadvantages. The primary advantage of this cooking tool is that it can quickly heat the pan, which is faster than using a gas range. This is good especially if you are always in hurry cooking for your family or for gatherings. It can also quickly boil water unlike the electric burners. Another very important benefit of the tool is that the heating process only works to the magnetic material and not on its surface. This is good especially when you have little kids at home. It also conserved energy because it uses the 90% of its produced energy. Unlike the gas burner that uses 55% and the electric ranges that only use 65% of its produced energy.
When it comes to its disadvantage the main issue will be the usage of your old cooking materials. When you decided to shift your cooking process to an induction type of cooking, you need to check all your materials if it is suitable to your induction cooktop. If it is not suitable you need to change all of it to make it work.
With a number of disadvantages but a lot of advantage induction cookware is indeed a huge change in cooking process.
